Chatbooks Family Photo Albums App revisa

So the app and website are so glitchy— I can’t get a lot of pages to work and the site nav is a mess. I have a new iPhone so it ain’t that. Recently stumbled upon a “discover” section that has me in panic mode as it has imported very personal pictures from my phone and I can’t delete them. One book suggestion is literally me giving birth and I am too mortified to contact support to figure this out so I’m deleting my account, credits be damned because what in the F. I also can’t figure out how to revert the settings to not give this company 100% access to my photos — it appears that this is not an option. Also, my mom’s pandemic funeral was also not something I wanted to make a photo book of currently leading me to realize I need to be a lot more careful with how I’m clicking on privacy options that I’m sure I didn’t understand! Just be aware of this!

The monthly minis are the best things ever! I love being able to print 30 pictures every month. We keep the books on our coffee table and we have over 4 years of monthly minis on our table and it hardly takes up any room, but has so many memories. We can easily look back at pictures anytime we want and they aren’t just sitting on our phones. I started making them the month my now 4 year old was born and I hope I can continue to print monthly minis forever! They are the best little monthly treat and I recommend them to everyone!

I love how easy it is to use. I just wish I could use it on my Apple computer, that where my pictures are also;same as my phone pictures; so I can get a better look at the pictures but I still would recommend for anybody to use.

Joined months ago and have only gotten 1 book.

I have used Chatbook’s from at least 2015 and they make my life so much more easy and organized. I really miss that they send me a book automatically from what I post on instagram but I been doing custom books just to stay on top of it. Their customer service has been incredible to work with and always so helpful.

First time ordering and my discount wasn’t applied so paid full price. Not an easy process like I thought. There wasn’t a second look or change option in the pictures I selected like a preview before I order my first book. And I got charged 2 times for my first monthly mini album subscription.

I have had a horrible experience with Chatbooks - you lose all that you paid for when your subscription expires. Instead of allowing you to keep the product/books you paid (a lot of money) for that you weren’t able to complete, they completely cancel those books for you. I had a year subscription and (because of life and busyness) was not able to finish them, so they canceled the ones I didn’t finish - not offering a refund. I can see how they would cancel them after an extended period (like five years) but to cancel them if you don’t finish them in the year you bought them is horrible customer service. I will never use Chatbooks again.

Because it gets photos printed once a month! I’m a grandmother, but I have other interests too. It’s my photo journal of what I’ve done each month! And sometimes I use a Layout app to put 3/4 photos together per page. Subscription is Worth it!!

My two granddaughters can’t wait till their books arrive each month. Oh my gosh, I don’t know how I’m ever going to stop this. They love it so much.🌻

The books are always cute but they take a MINIMUM of 2 weeks to arrive. And if they’re “late” it’s an other 2 weeks before customer service will print and send. It’s March and we’re still waiting on books from Jan and Feb. It’s insane.

I love getting my books. However, I was disappointed when my pictures started falling out on the third time looking through it.

I purchased a subscription and got my credits and I didn't do them in time because I have a BABY and I'm busy, and they literally expire even though you buy the credits. I just really don't understand that notion. I only ordered one of my 6 credits and they're just gone. Online it says that the expiring credits encourage regular usage which is BULLS---. I would never recommend this to anyone because the timeframe is just way too short!

I absolutely love these books! So simple and easy to use and everything turns out so beautifully!! I’m able to add notes and dates are already in the pictures. 📷📚❤️

One of my goal goals this year was to print more photos and this is helping me reach that goal!

I’ve lost 17 credits/books due to weird app glitches. I’ve emailed the support team and did not receive any feedback about getting my credits back or a refund. I’ve had numerous issues with the app where it doesn’t “show” my photos, it’s just a white box. When the photos do show up, it takes forever to choose and preview the book. It’s currently been “loading” for over 10 minutes and it becomes frustrating and a waste of time. When I close the app to restart, I’ve lost all the work/photos that I chose and have to restart. I’ve had credits “expire” on a certain date but when I try to choose photos/print the book on the day of expiration, the app does not allow me to do so. It says the credit is already expired. You would think if it expires June 2, then June 2 would be the last day to use it. After paying $390 for potentially 36 books, 17 have expired, 9 books printed, and I currently have 10 credits left until next year. I even bought a friend a year subscription as a gift and am embarrassed for the trouble she had too. Super upset about my lost credits, app glitches, and no response after emailing support.

Just received my first book and it’s absolutely amazing… I can’t wait to order my next one!

Super easy to make, affordable. My son loves looking at these. I’m going to start making them for the first year since I didn’t start until he was over one. I have used several other services for picture books and this one is by far the easiest. It is also free shipping which saves a ton. I have used snap fish, Walmart, Shutterfly, vistaprint. This one is the fastest to make, quality photos and also more affordable since there is no shipping cost. The photo videos they do are also nice to send to family.

I love these books! So fun to create by myself or with my little! Only thing is I’ve had issues with getting the mini videos to play or even save.

This is simply just the best idea compared to the old fashioned photo albums you have to print out yourself. All the work is done for you and they have the sweetest customer service team! Highly recommend. The app makes this process so much better.

I love Chatbooks! I have a lot of pictures on my phone and never print them. I saw Chatbooks advertised on Facebook and decided to give it a try. My grandkids are very involved in sports so I take tons of pics. It is fun to create and highlight a book of my families activities each month. Great capturing our vacations too! The grandkids love to sit and look at the books and see their names in the captions. I enjoy making these books and it is very affordable.

The app does what it’s supposed to but not well, it’s slow, crashes often, doesn’t save the edits and changes you make. I wish the collages were borderless and adding a caption didn’t take up half the page, being able to add just a text box would be nice. I much prefer the look and feel of softcover books but the date isn’t printed on the spine so I have to buy the hardcovers. The print quality is very inconsistent! My images are high quality and resolution but they’ll print blurry and pixelated and faded or some come out way over exposed. The binding cuts off an inch of the image, they should really add extra blank space to prevent that. They use a third party shipping service that’s incredibly slow and takes over 2 weeks from date of ship to delivery. I will continue to use and pay for this frustration because their books are the most attractive.

It charged me a subscription for month books for 2025, but then I canceled my subscription and it will only allow me access my month book credits of 2025 until May. It would only let me continue to use them past May if I kept my subscription active

I used to love this program to make my yearly photo albums. But you can no longer pull photos from Instagram- which is where I have all my best photos. And Also, you used to be able to add blank pages for just text but I can’t do that anymore! Very disappointed!

Complicated

I’ve used their service since 2020 and have 4 large books. The most recent book is dark, pixelated and print quality is different than my first 3 in which I was very pleased with hence the 2 stars. Tried to contact customer service regarding this and they weren’t any help.
